Qld: Boat and golf buggy used in burglary
BRISBANE, Aug 24 AAP - A golf buggy and then a boat may have been used in the theftof a safe containing a substantial amount of cash and jewellery from a Gold Coast homeovernight, police said.
The offenders entered the home in Cockleshell Court at Runaway by smashing througha bathroom window sometime between 7.30pm and 9pm (AEST), police said.
They forced a garage door open and took a golf buggy to remove the unsecured safe,containing jewellery and Australian and Korean currency, from a bedroom, police said.
A description of the jewellery and exact value of the theft has not been released.
