FED: SBS journalists in Sydney walk off the job

SBS news bulletins across Australia will not go to air tonight after 15 journalistsin Sydney voted to walk off the job over a pay dispute.

The Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance says the news journalists walked off thejob at 4pm (AEST) and won't return until 10pm (AEST).

SBS corporate communications manager KEITH DALTON says the action means SBS nationalbulletins at 6.30pm and 9.30pm will be replaced by BBC World News.

The broadcaster has been faced with ongoing stoppages and strikes from journalistsand technical staff over pay.
